AFAM ontwikkelt en produceert tandwielen sinds 1975 en is OEM-leverancier voor verschillende motorfabrikanten. Aluminium uitvoeringen worden gefreesd uit 7075-T6 luchtvaartaluminium, stalen uitvoeringen uit gehard C45-staal. Productie vindt plaats in België.

Tandtal kiezen

Het aantal tanden bepaalt de overbrengingsverhouding van je motor. De standaard OEM-tanden vind je in het werkplaatshandboek. Meer tanden achter geeft snellere acceleratie maar lagere topsnelheid; minder tanden achter geeft hogere topsnelheid maar tragere acceleratie.

Selecting the right tooth count

The number of teeth determines the gear ratio. Find the standard OEM tooth count in your service manual. More rear teeth give faster acceleration but lower top speed; fewer rear teeth give higher top speed but slower acceleration.
