Die neue Version bietet optimale Design- und Integrationseigenschaften und ermöglicht die einfache Montage des KTM Mittelständers. Der AXP Tankschutz bietet zusätzlichen Schutz für beide Seiten des Tanks, auch bei ausgebauter Kraftstoffpumpe. Die integrierte Sicherheitsvorrichtung verhindert die Verlegung und den Transport im Staufach. Das Design wurde so angepasst, dass die Montage mit der originalen KTM Kraftstoffpumpe kompatibel ist. Die neue Form der Schutzfläche sorgt für eine glatte Gleitfläche, sodass Lackschäden vermieden werden. Die Abmessungen können durch 4 mm dicke Aluminiumplatten verstärkt werden. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine integrierte Öffnung, durch die der Schlauch geführt werden kann. Das Modell ist auch in Orange unter der Artikelnummer AX1738 erhältlich und kompatibel mit KTM 790 Adventure / 790 Adventure R / 890 Adventure / 890 Adventure R.
