Frequently asked questions about apparel

Answers to the most common questions about helmets, boots, sizing and returns.

How do I find the right helmet size?

Measure the circumference of your head just above the eyebrows and ears, at the widest point. That measurement in centimetres matches a helmet size: 53-54 cm is XS, 55-56 cm is S, 57-58 cm is M, 59-60 cm is L, 61-62 cm is XL. A helmet should fit snugly without pressure points. Unsure between two sizes? Call us on +31 172 533 829 and we will help you choose. Note that fit varies slightly per brand.

Which helmet is suitable for motocross and enduro?

For off-road, choose a motocross helmet with a peak and open chin area, combined with motocross goggles. Airoh and Alpinestars are our strongest off-road brands. For enduro with a lot of climbing, a light, well-ventilated helmet is comfortable. Riding supermoto on road and track? Then both a motocross helmet with goggles or a full-face helmet work, depending on your preference and the track requirements.

Which boot size should I choose?

Motorcycle boots usually follow your normal shoe size, but fit varies by brand and model. Gaerne generally runs fairly true to size. Motocross and enduro boots are stiff at first and need breaking in. Wear the socks you ride in when trying them on. If you are unsure about the size, contact us before ordering.

What is the difference between motocross, enduro and road boots?

Motocross boots offer maximum protection and stiffness for jumps and impact, with a rigid sole. Enduro boots are slightly more flexible and lighter so you can walk and shift more easily on long rides. Road boots focus on comfort, grip and protection on tarmac, often with more flexibility in the ankle. Choose based on where you ride most.

Do you supply original KTM, Kawasaki and Yamaha apparel?

This includes adventure and touring apparel, motocross and enduro outfits, gloves, helmets, boots and lifestyle items such as shirts and caps. The range varies by brand and season. Can I exchange or return apparel if the size does not fit?
