Choosing the tooth count

The number of teeth determines the gear ratio of your motorcycle. The standard OEM tooth counts can be found in the workshop manual. More teeth at the rear provide faster acceleration but lower top speed; fewer teeth at the rear provide higher top speed but slower acceleration.
