Choosing the tooth count

The number of teeth determines your motorcycle's gear ratio. You can find the standard OEM tooth count in the workshop manual. More teeth on the rear sprocket gives faster acceleration but lower top speed; fewer teeth on the rear sprocket gives higher top speed but slower acceleration.
