NG Race Star: the best braking performance on both street and track. The premium NG Race Star range is available exclusively for SuperSport and Superbike motorcycles. You can now opt for this new range of brake discs that delivers the best braking performance on both street and track. All Race Star brake discs have an aluminium carrier, which reduces their weight considerably. They are also fitted with the new hard-anodised bolts already used on the rest of the NG discs. The difference is in the mounting, which includes new race-tested washers that give the disc more float. Developed in competition and now also available as a spare part. In terms of design, the new NG Race Star discs stand out from other discs in both the colour of the braking surface and the orientation of the ventilation holes. The colour of the braking surface comes from a special heat treatment that gives the steel a distinctive iridescence and makes your bike stand out from the rest. In addition, the ventilation holes are not perpendicular to the braking surface but oblique, arranged in sets of three in each direction. This improves disc ventilation and, together with the special heat treatment, prevents the material from reaching excessive temperatures that could warp the disc.
